The facsimile of the most precious work of Kladios Ptolemaios which was translated to Arabic by the commandment of Ottoman Sultan Mehmet II (the Conqueror) after being captured in the Byzantine Palace during the conquest of Istanbul, this map has been subject to many research studies in English, German and Turkish, especially by academicians of University of Bern, Institute of Ptolemaios, namely Alfred Stückelberger, Florian Mittenhuber and Robert Fuchs.
A very special production that has been printed in a limited number, this work has been initiated during the management period of Ilber Ortayli in Topkapi Palace Museum, prepared by the priceless contribution and support of Celâl Sengor, enriched by the design and digitalization efforts of Boyut.
